In case you didn’t guess from those Wingless Angels albums he produced, Keith Richards loves Raggae. Here he is in 2005 with Freddie “Toots” Hibbert, having fun with an old Toots & The Maytals classic.
Geek Moment Approaching: I’m a huge fan of “Keef,” and I’m especially fascinated by the work he’s produced outside of the Rolling Stones canon. I’ve already posted his Raggae project, Wingless Angels, and tomorrow I’ll post a track by New Barbarians, which was a Ronnie Wood side-project that Keith played with now and then. In the near future (unless I get side-tracked like I often do) I hope to post some material from the Live At The Hollywood Palladium record Richards did with his own side-project, the X-Pensive Winos. Oh, and I’ve got a great track of Keith Richards covering Hank Williams.
