“Let It Whip” by Dazz Band
[Editor’s Note: rawpowerwritings seems to feel self-conscious about posting any kind of music that isn’t sufficiently Hardcore, so I’m going to make it worse by reblogging this. Sharing is fun!]
I’m going to preface this by saying I’ve been listening to a lot of Hot 92.3 in LA recently and they play pretty much nothing but 70’s and 80’s R&B. That being said, here’s “Let It Whip” by Dazz Band. I don’t care if you put this song on in a room of punk rockers, gang members, metal heads, or hipsters, as soon as this comes on people are going to start moving. While this song might be most appropriately played at a roller disco, it goes over well anywhere and everywhere. Of all the great cheesy funk/R&B made in the 80’s this tune is a stand out for me. There’s something about it that’s so fun it has the ability to turn around even the lamest party or gathering. People should carry a CD with this song on it in their car for emergencies just incase they need to add levity to a situation where people are taking themselves too seriously. As if you need instructions, crank this tune and enjoy.
