“Burning Hell” by John Lee Hooker & Canned Heat
“It don’t take me no three days to make no album… You want a triple album, you gotta go for triple money.”
You can tell these guys are having fun. Canned Heat spent their careers trying to sound like John Lee Hooker, so it’s no surprise they made a great album together. Listen closely: that’s Hooker keeping time by beating his feet on the floor, just like he did on his early records; the band ran a microphone under the floorboards just to capture that sound.
