You might not like all of his studio albums, but Iggy Pop has never been anything less than a phenomenal live act. Except for that time he cadged drug money off the audience, shot heroin immediately before taking the stage, and dropped from an overdose before he could sing a single lyric. Right there in front of God and everybody. (Of course, when you think about it, that performance was brilliant in its minimalism…)
