Here’s Richard Hell’s idea of a love song, “Love Comes In Spurts,” from the classic Blank Generation record.

Doc’s On A Tangent Again: Honestly, Richard Hell might be one of the most underrated figures of the CBGB’s Punk scene.  He was an early member of both Television and The Heartbreakers, co-wrote “Chinese Rocks” with Dee Dee Ramone, and created the trademarked, patented, and all-too-often duplicated Punk fashion—the ripped shirts, the spiked hair—that Malcolm McLaren shamelessly ripped off when he started packaging the Sex Pistols.  His band The Vodoids helped launch the careers of Marc Bell (AKA Marky Ramone) and Robert Quine (AKA the best guitarist Lou Reed ever worked with).  So give the dude some credit, y’know?
