When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and George Bush was too busy not giving a shit, the rising waters did a lot of damage to the Preservation Hall, the venue for a great many local Dixieland Jazz musicians who collectively tour as the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. To restore their home to something resembling its former glory, the band put out a benefit album in 2010 with artists like Dr. John, Merle Haggard, Ani Difranco, Louis Armstrong, Steve Earle, Pete Seeger, and, oh yeah, Tom Waits. Take a wild fucking guess which track I chose to play for you.
